Program Start and End Date

The ISS will be structured in two 4-week blocks which can be taken independently or consecutively.

Modules (Classes) with Experiential Learning

♦The University of Stirling employs teaching staff who are consistently amongst the best in their fields and are dedicated to the success of their students. Modules (classes) have been tailored especially for the ISS to help you get the most out of your studies in Scotland. A key component of your ISS modules will be the class Experiential Excursions that complement classroom learning. For instance, a visit to one of Scotland's main sporting venues helps contextualise your studies in Sports Management and your Scottish history module comes alive with a trip to battlefields around Scotland.

The Extracurricular Programme Social Activities & Day Trips

⇔Social activities and day trips are an important part of the programme beyond your studies.
⇔The ISS programme cost includes guided day trips to St Andrews, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and a full programme of social activities including pub quiz nights, guided hikes and walking tours.

⇔There will also be additional opportunities to visit Scottish treasures such as Loch Ness, Glencoe, the Highlands and the Isle of Skye at discounted rates. You can even learn/practice your Scottish country dancing at the ISS ceilidh.
These field trips are opened to all ISS space-permitting.
**All Field Trips are included in the program cost
