Students interested in this program must first receive permission to participate from the program leader.

The relationship between our academic program and Belize is a close one. The Dental Hygiene students will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with the people of Belize on a daily basis. They will perform dental cleanings, sealant, oral hygiene instructions, and fillings. They will be working out of two dental clinics; one at Holy Cross elementary school and the other at Poly Clinic, which is a free community clinic in downtown San Pedro. The students will also be providing oral hygiene instructions and flouride varnishes at the local elementary schools.

Students will immerse themselves in the culture of Belize for a week-long experience.
