Program Description:

Criminal Justice Study Tour

Winter Break 2016-2017

December 26, 2015 - January 8, 2017

England, Northern Ireland, Ireland: London, Belfast, Dublin

Students interested in this program must first receive permission to participate from the program leader, please e-mail Dr. Tamara Wilkins at or Dr. Pat Nelson at, with your interest in the program.
Come with us to these three amazing cities over winter break. Learn about other nations' justice systems and responses to terrorism, as well as experience more fun than imaginable by visiting these unique places and meeting new people. This program is open to all majors.

Why go?
  • We go over winter break, so the trip does NOT interfere with classes! 
  • Financial aid is available!
  • All majors are welcome to participate!
  • Earn three upper-level credits per course or a total of six credits!
Trip cost of approximately $4200.00 includes:
  • Five nights at the St. Giles Hotel in the heart of the theatre district in London.
  • Three nights at the Jury’s Inn in Belfast, home of where the Titanic was built.
  • Four nights in Dublin at Cassidy’s Hotel (or Knowth Hotel), in the city center.
  • All airfare and airport transfers
  • Private motor coach travel from Belfast to Dublin
  • A tour of every city
  • Breakfast every morning
  • Two dinners at a local restaurant
  • Twin occupancy in three- and four-star hotels
  • Group activities and excursions as outlined on the itinerary
What isn’t covered in the trip cost?
  • Tuition and books for the two trip-related courses (possible 6 upper-level courses)
  • Passport (cannot expire within six months of return date)
  • University required travel insurance
  • University required application fee
