ABOUT ITESO, UNIVERSITY JESUITA DE GUADALAJARA
  • ITESO is the Jesuit University of Guadalajara. Founded in 1957, it belongs to a network of over 228 Jesuit universities around the world.
  • The university's campus consists of well-kept gardens, eucalyptus trees, soccer fields, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, gym, library, travel agency, bank, four cafeterias, bookstore and two outdoor stages. The campus also contains labs, radio and television equipment with a radio station, and an observatory.
  • ITESO is known for its academic excellence, a profound concern for both local and global contexts, and its commitment to the improvement of people's living conditions.

ABOUT TLAQUEPAQUE, MEXICO
  • Tlaquepaque is about 6 miles southeast of the center of Guadalajara city and is especially known for its ceramics, pottery and mariachi.
  • The town's up-market arts and crafts center boutique shops and trendy restaurants line the picturesque colonial-style streets and alleyways, plazas and gardens. 
  • The look, feel and atmosphere around Tlaquepaque is distinctly colonial; there are various pedestrian areas featuring a wide assortment of charming cafes and restaurants.
  • Key attractions include the colonial center, museums, restaurants, shops and more.
