ABOUT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF GRAND-BASSAM
  • IUGB is a dynamic American-style university, preparing the next generation of leaders in Africa.
  • IUGB’s mission is to deliver an English-language liberal arts education in fields critical to the growth and development of Côte d’Ivoire and West Africa.
  • The university offers six career-oriented degree programs through two schools: The School of Business and Social Sciences (BSS) and the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
  • IUGB counts with 809 students from 22 different countries.

ABOUT GRAND-BASSAM, IVORY COAST
  • Located in the southeastern part of Côte d’Ivoire on the coast, about 45 kilometers east of Abidjan, Grand-Bassam was the first port, economic and legal capital of Côte d’Ivoire.
  • A historical town, Grand-Bassam was made a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural site in 2012.
  • Grand-Bassam is known for its attachment to its cultural roots and its engagement in its traditional cultural practices among which the famous feast of Abissa who gathers thousands of participants every year.
  • The city is also one of the most touristic towns of Côte d’Ivoire thanks to its rich cultural and traditional heritage, its resorts along the beaches and its restaurants.
