  • Top-tier national university. It has recently been ranked #1 in the Leiden Rankings (Korean national universities with research papers in the top 1%).

ABOUT DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA
  • Daegu is located in the southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula and lies 300km south of Seoul.It is famous for being the self-proclaimed fashion capital, home to pro baseball, and the friendliest big city in the country.
  • Daegu has been the hub of South Korea’s textile and clothing manufacturing industries, with industry-related exports equaling approximately 10 billion USD.
  • The city has the greatest number of coffee shops per capita in the entire country, not to mention it hosts the Daegu International Coffee Fair every autumn.
  • Daegu is surrounded by large mountains and a number of small lakes and rivers. Going hiking on one of the nearby mountains or relaxing at one of the many parks or river areas is quite feasible.
